S.M. Hutchins started writing when she was 11 years old, in spiral notebooks and on loose leaf paper, sometimes working together with friends to write short stories and plays.

Her love of writing continued to grow as she studied writing in college, graduating with a degree in English from Arizona State University. That’s when her practical side kicked in leading her on a career path of “serious” jobs where she wrote sales and marketing copy, web copy, and eventually became “ultra-serious” as a web project manager and technical writer.

When she found herself working for a magazine publisher, quite by accident, and realized she was a tech geek, she clambered for spiral notebooks and resumed writing.

Her work has been featured on websites like Blogher, To Save a Life, Simply Happy Me, Searching for Superwomen, My Gutsy Story(R), and Grandmother Hen, and in the book The World Needs Hope.
